Technology Solutions Business Development Specialist – New Sales Success Profile

Major Goals and Responsibilities

The Technology Business Development Specialist is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and generating new sales leads to support PBS’s full portfolio of solutions, including Managed IT Services (MSP), Copiers & Print Solutions, VOIP, E-Fax, and Print Management. This individual will be a highly motivated self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery, and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential.

Lead Generation: Pre-Call Plan, Cultivate and Qualify (75%)

  • Develop new business opportunities via telephone, email, social media, and in-person drop-ins to introduce Professional Business System’s full suite of technology solutions.
  • Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
  • Conduct initial needs analysis to determine prospect’s pain points, priorities, and intent across IT, communications, and document management.
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Collaborate with internal specialists to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly revenue goals.

Administrative (20%)

  • Manage lead generation data for new and prospective clients within CRM and associated programs.
  • Prepare and analyze marketing action and sales pipeline reports and dashboards.
  • Create and build qualified opportunities in [system(s)].
  • Assist in prepping proposals and presentations across all service categories.

Development & Training (5%)

  • Actively participate in development & training activities related to all product lines, including MSP, VOIP, E-Fax, Copiers, and Print Management.

Prerequisites (Education & Experience)

  • 2-year college degree or equivalent work experience in business, marketing, sales, or account management.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Knowledge of IT, office technology, and communications systems preferred, but not required.
  • Previous business development experience.

Compensation Method

Salary, plus performance-based commission and bonus.

Account Representative

Position: Account Representative
Supervisor: Director of Sales

PBS is on a mission to grow, and we are actively recruiting a highly organized, detail-oriented sales account manager. As an established provider of technology services in Northwest Arkansas, we are determined to sustain and grow our existing client portfolio with industry-leading products and services.

This position will work alongside other members of the sales team to ensure client retention and proactive support is being provided. The primary goal of this person will be to drive revenue, generate sustainable margins, and execute business plans and strategies with existing customers at the time of renewal. This role is full-time, as the sales dynamic at PBS is fast-paced and high-pressure.

  • Develop new business opportunities by actively inviting new relationships from networking and outbound prospecting efforts.
  • Research the latest in the business industry and create new opportunities to expand business.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of company products or services, business position, and competition to keep business competitive.
  • CRM: Contribute to documentation. This role will be required to document all client contact information and/or supporting activity within their CRM profile (contact information, key stakeholders, etc.).

Position Requirements

  • Superior communication skills (face-to-face, phone, email)
    • Ability to communicate complex concepts/information with clarity and precision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven experience meeting revenue growth targets
    • Preferred: 3 to 5 years previous sales/management experience.
  • Ability to manage a growing portfolio of 150+ customers.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects/deadlines at one time.
  • Long-term focused, self-motivated, and driven.
  • Computer/Technology versed: M365, CRM management (Compass/Sherpa), and SharePoint.
  • Superior organizational skills; timely.

Compensation Inclusions

  • Compensation: Salary + commission
    • Starting at $40,XXX; contingent upon experience.
